Running like a kid in brand new shoes

It's good to be back home. I did finally get the recording stuff going and it was so fun to play those tunes. Ben's record is amazing and it's an honor to be a part of it.

The Caedmon's show was fun. We hadn't played in about four weeks and it was good to be playing again. Fender sent me the last of the new guitars this past week, a daphne blue Tele. I played it a ton and it was luscious.

We had a lady bus driver who goes by the name of Mouse. It adds a whole new dimension when you're in the bus with your dude friends, making fart jokes, and there's a Grandmotherly figure four feet away. She was great and I hope we get her again.

The best news: You guys have already raised $435 for Ellie's Run! That's almost halfway to my goal of $1000. Already you're helping 17 African children go to school next year. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We just need $565 more to reach our goal. $10 or $20 will go a long way to getting us there. I'm excited we get to be a part of this very good thing. I'm taking the day off today to be with the girls. And mow the lawn. Which I'm about to do. Planning on keeping the other nine intact, thanks for your concern. Back to Neilson's tomorrow for the last studio day of these four tunes. This is the fun part where you hear stuff come together. Can't wait for you to hear these tunes. I have to figure out how to make that happen. Any ideas?
