then delete the spaces, and download another new song from the upcoming Caedmon's Call "Overdressed" record. Cliff sings the lead on this song, called Two Weeks in Africa, which I wrote.

The song is about missions trips overseas, and how we can get ramped up on feeling super-Spiritual, but it's a feeling that passes all too quickly. Meanwhile, God is doing great things in other places, even if we aren't responsible, or we've forgotten about it. The reality is that God is doing the good things despite us, but we can have those opportunities to see it and in a tiny way be a part of it.

It will be interesting to see if this song works its way into the hands of missions organizations. I could see it being used in an unintentionally psuedo-ironic way to push folks to go on missions trips, for the emotional reasons the song actually warns against. But who knows?

Either way, I really like this tune and was glad for how it came out. The percussion and guitar stuff was really fun to work on. It's the song most in the "Share the Well" vein, and it makes me happy to have one like this on here.

In completely unrelated news (or is it), Andrew Peterson and his boys (Ben Shive and Andy Gullahorn) have been working on Andrew's new record. He's got a great blog going about all the recording, complete with Andy Gullahorn's weird and hilarious videos. You can check it out HERE (and I really think you should). If this record is anything like the last, I don't know, FIVE, then it will be really great. I bet it will be.
