MySpace Monday

I just got back from playing guitar for my friend Emily DeLoach at 3rd and Lindsley here in Nashville. Kevin Mann played bass, his wife Mandy sang background, Cason played keys, Jason Feller played guitar and Dave, the intern, played drums. It was really fun and I wish we could have played a longer set.

They do this thing there called MySpace Mondays where they have four acts each do a half-hour set. The band after us was called Dawson, Some Hot Chicks and Bob and they were great. A few of the "hot chicks" are friends from RUF and Indelible Grace stuff. It was fun to see them having such a good time. And on the off chance that any of them read this: Thanks, Jordan, for letting me play all your gear.

Well, my folks are in town now and they stayed here with Ella so Alison and I could both go tonight. They started watching the BBC production of Pride and Prejudice that we have. It's six hours long, and, friends, you may not believe this, but it's really pretty good. I actually enjoy it and so we watched a bit of that with them until way too late.

Oh, and quick update for the Nashville or travelin' folks. The CD Release show on June 20 has gotten moved up a little bit. The show is now starting at 7:30, meaning Jones will play at a little before 8 and I'll play around 8:30. Just wanted to give you the heads up. I'm getting pretty excited for the show and I hope to see a bunch of you there. I haven't played a local show in a really long time and I'm nervous that I screw it up. So people coming out will be REALLY helpful! Anyway, wanted to let you know about the time change and I'll give you more details about the show as they develop. Sleep well, everybody.
