Book Andrew for a show!
I live in Nashville, TN, and play guitar and write songs for a living. I also record music in my basement. You might have heard some of it. You might not have. I have a wife, Alison, and a baby daughter, named Ella, both beautiful, and two goldfish, named Ginger and Johnson. Only my wife remembers which is which.

I have been humbled and grateful to be part of two great and (fairly) successful bands over the past few years.

The Normals grew out of a band I was in with a few friends in high school. We signed to Forefront Records, and for better or worse, were there for five years and three albums. Our first one wasn't very good. Our last two I happened to like a great deal, and still do. The band had a few people move in and out at the beginning, but eventually we settled on the lineup that is what I think of when I think of the band. That is: Mark Lockett on guitar and vocals, B.J. Aberle on bass, Mike Taquino smashing the drums, Cason Cooley on keys and vocals, and me, singing and playing guitar. I don't get to see any of these guys as much as I want to, and I miss them all very, very much.

After we broke up, for reasons financial and familial, I sat in for a band named Caedmon's Call, who were in need of a guitar player/singer. After filling in for a year or so they invited me to join. I am at the end of the recording of my second full album with them, and have started to write songs, sing lead and record and produce with them as well. My participation in this band has led me to three continents not my own, some amazing and inspiring times in India and Ecuador, and allowed me access to a large and wonderful group of supportive friends and fans. I don't know how long I will be a part of Caedmon's, but I am honored to be a small part in their long and incredible history.

I have also released two solo albums. One, a full band and production, callled "Photographs" and one acoustic, all recorded on my free time during a tour all over America, called "Souvenirs and Postcards." I am currently in the process of writing and recording a new one. It will be much more of a progressive rock album than the singer/songwritery ones I have made before. Or I should say, I am hoping to add new and different, and upbeat, elements to my singer/songwritery tunes.

I love to write, to play guitar and to stumble upon sounds, intentional or not, that inspire me and make me glad I don't have a real job. I have a small recording studio in my basement where I make my own records and have also recorded some for my friends Andrew Peterson, Eric Peters, Chris Mason, Randall Goodgame, the Caedmon's gang, and others. I have really enjoyed getting into recording and the gear that goes along with it. I've started a fairly hopeless guitar and recording gear addiction, that I hope I'll never have to give up.

Anyway, that's about it for me. At least the stuff I don't mind perfect strangers reading. I hope that you enjoy my songs. I'll try and put some new ones up from time to time, or keep putting up different ones from older records I am still proud of. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and please say hello!
